An announcement from the League of Women Voters of Boulder County. A little late posting it one our site, but that's our fault, not the LoWVBC. Boulder Valley School District Candidates' Forum Sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Boulder County When: Monday, October 15, 2007, 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM Where: Board Room, BVSD Education Center (east end), 6500 East Arapahoe Avenue, Boulder Four BVSD Board of Education Director (aka School Board member) positions are on the ballot in the November 6 mail-ballot election. All voters in the BVSD area may vote in all four races even though each candidate must live in a certain region of the district. The forum is open to the public and will be televised by Channel 22, and then re-broadcast two times per week until the election. A member of the League will moderate the session. Candidates will have the opportunity to make opening and closing statements and to answer written questions from the audience. The League of Women Voters is non-partisan. Its bylaws clearly state that the organization does not support or oppose any political party or candidate. The League sponsors this forum to help the voters make more informed decisions when they vote. |
