No. 1 : This is nuts. Using taxpayer dollars to spread this filth is absolutely out of bounds. And the people who organized this call themselves educators of our nations youth? Shameful. No. 2 : I found this refreshing. It was a very candid discussion regarding some sensitive issues. I don't agree with everything that was said, but I love the idea that it was candid, spoken for teenagers to relate to and everyone was encouraged to make their own decisions and stay educated. The better educated we are, the better decisions we make. The panel also let the students know that it is okay to make mistakes. For the student that has already made a bad choice it was nice to let them know that now they can make good choices. No. 3 : I agree that this was refreshing. What's disturbing to me is all the controversy that has risen from such an honest discussion of the issues that BHS students are facing. If you find it disturbing then perhaps you should get your head out of the sand. I would definitely have appreciated this discussion when I was in high school. No. 4 : This is great. I wish every teenager could hear this. No. 5 : I agree that the controversy is certainly the disturbing part. Discussion is very healthy in regards to helping teenagers making appropriate decissions according to their OWN values. No. 6 : This was very interesting. I could understand the backlash from the perspective of People who refuse to acknowledge the reality of the plight of our kids. Our society is riddled with hypocracy. Don't kill, but we kill, don't have sex, we have adultery and a high divorce rate. Also, alchohol is a drug. Hey, the truth hurts and I admire these guys for speaking from the perspective of reality. Rah..rah..rah!!! No. 7 : This was very interesting. I could understand the backlash from the perspective of People who refuse to acknowledge the reality of the plight of our kids. The clips Bill O'Reilly plays on his show are completely out of context - they're describing bad behavior, yes, but as *mistakes* with serious consequences. O'Reilly is either lying or just too lazy to listen to the whole presentation himself. No. 9 : This is gross No. 10 : I would like to be showed the educational part |
